Jeff Carty is excited to be the new director of Waynesboro Indoor Percussion Ensemble. After graduating from Waynesboro Area Senior High School in 1981, he obtained a degree in business administration from Penn State. Jeff is currently the VP for finance at Summit Health.
Jeff has been a percussion instructor for over forty years. He has taught personal lessons for over ten years. Jeff was a percussion instructor for numerous majorette and drum corps including the Wayne-ettes, Belvederes, Americanas, and Cavaliers. He was the director of the Cavaliers Majorette and Drum Corps for fifteen years. Jeff Carty was the percussion instructor for Greencastle-Antrim High School for ten years for both their indoor percussion ensemble and marching band. Over the course of those ten years, he helped them achieve six percussion championships. Jeff also played drum set and performed lead vocals in six different Top 40 bands over a fifteen-year period.

Molly Bercawfront ensemble Instructor Molly Bercaw is thrilled to be back with the ensemble. Molly graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School in 2018. She was a member of Waynesboro Indoor Percussion Ensemble for all four years of high school. During her years as a member of the ensemble, she won second place in the I&E competition in 2017 and first place in 2018. Molly marched with Excelsior Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017. Molly also played in the PMEA District 7 county band festival.
Molly is planning on continuing her education at a local cosmetology school next year. In her free time, she knits and makes art. She currently works at Dunkin’. |
